This is a safe space for York based Visual Artists to receive critical feedback from their peers, to share and discuss their work.

It will help you further your creative practice and build connections with other local artists.

HOW IT WORKS:

You will each bring one piece of artwork to share with the group. If you are unable to bring the physical work you can bring a print or a photograph on your laptop.

We will split into groups to allow enough time for everyone to receive feedback on their work.

Each person can choose either:

• A silent crit, where you say nothing about the work and the group openly discusses their interpretation of your piece.

• Or, you can give a very short presentation on your piece and ask specific questions to the group to gain an external perspective on your work.

Each person will have 20 minutes, and we will have a 15 minute break for tea and biscuits (provided).

This event takes place at PICA Studios, an artist-led studio located inside Quack's The Printers (7 Grape Lane, YO1 7HU).

Please arrive between 6:15 and 6:25 for a 6:30pm start.
