Unlocking the potential of using Augmented Reality

Augmented reality (AR) is a technology that lets you see the real-life environment with a digital augmentation overlay of images, sounds, or text, that reinforces your reality. This medium is now being applied to the fields of health, games, education, arts, advertising, branding, and other sectors.

The free workshop aims to provide participants with a basic understanding of the capabilities of AR and how you can create content in both a 2D/3D manner using Adobe products (Aero and Dimensions). By undertaking a range of practical exercises and discussions, participants will have an appreciation of simple pipeline processes, as well as, exploring their own creative avenues.

By the end of the session, you will have started to create your own AR experience. Overall, this is a foundation for you to step into a hybrid world and unlock new experiences through augmentation.

You will learn:

  • What AR is and how it can help your business, project or research

  • How to create content in both 2D / 3D using associated software (Adobe packages)

  • Understanding of the AR work pipeline processes

  • The opportunity to start to create your own AR experience
