WAlmgate ReFramed
This project will run from July to December 2025, and it’s all about celebrating Walmgate’s rich history, diverse community, and creative spirit. Funded by the York & North Yorkshire Combined Authority Vibrant and Sustainable High Streets Fund, we are working with the University of York and bringing York’s rich creativity to the project, including the incredible Mediale, Lazenby Brown, Thin Ice Press and others. We’ll be creating opportunities for residents, businesses, and artists to come together and help reimagine our public spaces through art, storytelling, and creative collaboration.
We’ll be hosting a series of fun, inclusive creative sessions over the coming months for local people to get involved, and commissioning an artwork for Walmgate to celebrate its communities.
This project is supported by David Skaith, Mayor of York and North Yorkshire and funded by York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority.
