Whether you're planning an exhibition, performance, corporate function, a social gathering, or a community event, mastering the fundamentals is essential for success.

Join our workshop tailored for first-time event hosts, where we'll guide you through the five key principles that form the foundation of every memorable event.

From budgeting to marketing, you'll gain practical insights and actionable strategies to ensure your event is a resounding success.


This workshop will be run by Ellen Davies of LND Events. Ellen is a Yorkshire born and bred event planner with a love for creativity. She’s planned everything from fairs to festivals, corporate events to weddings, bringing a wide range of experience to her craft.

With a background in law Ellen will help you to stay on the right side of your responsibilities as an event organiser, giving you a process that helps take the stress out of stumbling through your first event blind.


This event will run from 6pm to 7pm at the NODE Hub Workspace at York St John's Enterprise Centre, please arrive between 5.45pm and 5.55pm for a 6pm start.

Please view this map to find the Enterprise Centre on campus. When you arrive at Cordukes we are in room CD101, which is up the stairs to your left.
